Bike adventure holiday on the Eroica roads continues to follow the events of our ATWS expert group (Adventure Travel World Summit). it’s October 13, 2018 and we are located in Pieve Sprenna agritourism in Buonconvento in southern Tuscany. The Pieve Sprenna farmhouse is an old country house set in a peaceful setting of vineyards and olive groves. The gardens and swimming pool with whirlpool system are surrounded by cypress and pine trees. At the restaurant, you can taste the delicious Tuscan cuisine, created with local genuine products. It is cheese, wine, oil, mushrooms and truffles in season. The rooms all enjoy a wonderful view of the Sienese countryside, which harmonizes the work of man and nature over the centuries.
A magical scenery with a corollary of enchanted villages, towns and cities. The Eroica is a condensation of the cycling of the past, the one of dust, of tantalising fatigue and of heroic sporting gestures. There are various Eroica routes. Mugello & Tuscany has chosen a medium difficulty route through the Crete Senesi up to Torre Castello with a short stop in lovely Asciano. From here transfer by bus to the Maremma at the La Buratta farm inside the Uccellina National Park. The Buratta farmhouse appears rather informal but in reality is very welcoming and can boast a typical Tuscan cuisine of top tier. Local Tuscan crostini with chicken liver and with sausage – tomato bruschetta – onions in oil – dried tomatoes in oil – soup with porcini mushrooms – tortelli, butter and sage and buffet dessert .
