Why HIP-HOPculture in Mugello

Hip hop is freedom, escape, struggle, resistance and above all education.A phenomenon that has become history, not only musical but also of style.

Hip hop music, presupposes freedom and imagination. Just this propensity to the eclectic and unusual combination is also found in the look of the rappers. In fact, it goes from the garish clothing and oversized dresses by Missy Elliott, to the style of dark tones, called gangsta, of the famous Notorious B.I.G. And again, the sensuality of Lil ‘Kim, exponent of the so-called sexy hip-hop style, the ethnic style, the sporty style of Will Smith, and the unforgettable deluxe outfits of Sean Combs, aka Puff Daddy.

Real style icons, inspired not only by fans and ordinary people but also by the stylists themselves.

Da qui nasce una mostra inedita che analizza lo stretto rapporto tra stile di strada e streetwear. Un inedito connubio attraverso le immagini di uno dei suoi testimoni più eccellenti, il fotografo Michael Lavine.Hence an unpublished exhibition that analyzes the close relationship between street style and streetwear. An unprecedented union through the images of one of his most excellent witnesses, the photographer Michael Lavine.
