October 12, 2018 at the dawn of our rafting adventure in Florence. We are still at the Diacci refuge in the upper Mugello. Delicious Tuscan breakfast with genuine products from the Apennines (blackberry jam and chestnut honey). Bread strictly homemade in a wood oven. Morning walk from the Diacci refuge to the provincial road of the Sambuca pass. This is because the bus cannot go down to the shelter.

Transfer to Florence to Piazza Poggi near Porta San Niccolò. Rafting adventure in Florence is part of Mugello&Tuscany’s larger package Tuscany Crossover Adventure Holiday. Boarding on an inflated dinghy and gliding down towards Ponte Vecchio for a nice taralli and prosecco aperitif. Even for the Florentine day the guide is always expert Enrico di T-rafting. These are just a few brushstrokes to give you an idea of the marvel of this small city river adventure. Our customers are tourism professionals. It isn’t easy to find something interesting in the adventure holiday world for similar people. The result was however extremely flattering for Mugello and Tuscany.

Navigating the Arno with the eternal beauty of Florence that runs along the sides is an unforgettable experience. Naturally we have not neglected to let our guests enjoy a walk in the center of Florence. Although everyone had already been at least a couple of times in Florence, nobody wanted to give up on some unforgettable highlights of the center. Piazza Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Pitti, via Calzaioli and Piazza Duomo. Some instead preferred to add some cardio activity going up to Costa San Giorgio up to Forte Belvedere. From there, a beautiful walk to San Miniato al Monte and Piazzale Michelangelo for a wonderful view of the city.

No less important was the culinary adventure in a nice osteria d’Oltrarno. Chicken liver croutons on toasted bread and peposo with mashed potatoes. For the 4 vegetarians instead pappa al pomodoro, cecina and panzanella. In the afternoon transfer to the Pieve Sprenna agritourism in Buonconvento in southern Tuscany.
