THE COFFEE FROM MUGELLO

To speak of the coffee from Mugello is certainly something hyperbolic. However it could not be so if you think of coffee machines. In fact, La Marzocco, a world leader in the production of coffee machines, has its headquarters in Mugello.

During the London Coffee Festival, the annual celebration of specialty coffee, the Mugello company has won numerous awards.
1st place for the “Most Innovative Product, Industry”
1st place as “Favorite Key Feature”
3rd place for “Highly Recommended Key Feature”.

The results achieved in the English capital confirm the leading role of ‘La Marzocco’ in the world specialty coffee scene. They are the result of the extraordinary work of La Marzocco UK and of the constant partnership with international players. The London Coffee Festival (12-15 April) also for 2018 has confirmed to be an unmissable event for coffee lovers. Even the most demanding and those above all working in the coffee scene.

The festival was characterized by over 250 artisanal cafes and gourmet food stalls. Also tastings and demonstrations by world-class baristas. Finally, interactive workshops, street food, coffee-based cocktails, live music etc. Visitors have had access to Milk & Sugar. This is the district of fashion and lifestyle that presents some of the most exciting brands of fashion, design and food.

So speaking of the coffee from Mugello in the strict sense may seem an exaggeration. But the story of La Marzocco makes this expression more plausible today.

For those who are interested in visiting the company and who have the pleasure of knowing the history of the tradition of “Handmade in Florence since 1927” there are special visits. On this occasion it is possible to observe the machines under construction that constitute the company’s assets and enjoy an excellent coffee. Visits to the showroom and factory during the week are by appointment only at 10.30. Requests should be submitted at least one week before the scheduled visit date.

Groups up to a maximum of 30 people can be accepted. The visits are carried out in different languages and generally last about 70 min.

For fans of the London Coffee festival, the appointment is at the Old Truman Brewery, 28-31 march 2019
