Ultratrail in Mugello presents itself with 2 excellent sporting events. The upper Mugello is a true paradise for trail runners and mountain bikers. In Palazzuolo sul Senio, a small town in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, two events were recently held for the most demanding athletes. On November 25th and 26th 2017 the ultra trail running called Trail del Cinghiale (wildboar) took place. On December 10th 2017 it was the turn of the Senio Winter Trail. Both events reached the seventh edition.
The Wild Boar Trail is a Ultratrail in Mugello race on three lengths, namely 30, 60 and 90 km. These distances assign respectively 2, 4 and 5 points valid for the Ultra Trail of Mount Blanc. On December 10, instead, the classic Skytrail Winter Trail by Senio was staged. This is a 19 km race with 1,000 meters of positive difference in altitude.This race runs on one of the most beautiful ridges of the Apennines. The event is organized by the local association Seniobike which will also host the final awards of the Firenze Skytrail circuit. The wait was rewarded by a record attendance of almost 500 Italian and European athletes. It is a great satisfaction for the Mugello to host such beautiful and exciting sporting events. The paths chosen are among the most beautiful of all the Italian Apennine chain. We are convinced that these extreme running competitions will advertise our territory in the world.
